Gibson J45
When I did some television shows with BREEZE back in 1977/1978, it was time for me to buy a new guitar but couldn't find one that I really liked. Because of that in one of the many guitar shops someone offered me a 9 year old Gibson J45. I didn't have to try it out for very long - I bought it immediately. The instrument is over 50 years old now, but the beautiful subdued sound still moves me over and over again.
The fact that this Gibson is still existing is a real miracle. Every now and then when a writer's block occurred or when it didn't work out with my music in general, I was sometimes about to smash the instrument against something out of pure frustration and desperation. I even came to the conclusion that this guitar (or I) has a guardian angel. In the early 1980s I sent the text for an advertisement to the newspaper, in which I offered it for sale. For still obscure reasons, but fortunately in retrospect, this ad never made it to the newspaper.

Godin A6
Looking for an electric guitar with a beautifully acoustic sound on stage, I once had a Godin in my hands back in the early 1990s, but could not afford it then. I finally bought this guitar in 2005.

Martin 12 snaren
I once had the famous and very popular EKO twelve-string guitar in my possession that everyone called "organ" because of the always beautiful full sound. Unfortunately, it lived for only two years. In 2000 I bought this then 30 year old guitar as a gadget and out of pure EKO nostalgia.

Washburn
(Nuno Battencourt)
In 1994 I had to choose for a number of performances, either make my Gibson electric (so I had to drill in it) or buy a new electro-acoustic one. I chose the second option.

Fender
I never liked taking the Gibson with me on vacation, which is why I bought this Fender entry-level model. Extra functionality is that I also have a guitar in the living room so I don't have to sit in my studio every time I want to make music. And I also used it as a spare guitar at performances - this felt more or less like an adultery with regard to the Gibson.

Ibanez (bas)
I got this bass guitar from my son Jelmer because he didn't play it anymore and he heard that I was interested.

To give my videos an extra boost, I wanted to use electric sound a little more often. |

Some "fingerstyle" songs sound better with nylon strings, so I bought this Spanish guitar in 1970. |
